The interconnected business of oppression
by Story
3/11/20 – 3/14/20
1: Tracked without consent, no action against threats!
Currently, we live a time where every single step we make (including every keystroke that I am typing right now) is being tracked by the government [1], by the school system [2] [3], and by corporations whose business practices we know very little about [4] [5] [6] (looking at you to Google) [7] [8]. It’s a tactic that the FBI uses to supposedly stop white supremacy [9] [9.1] yet, fails to not only live up to their motto of “Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity” [10] but, inevitably create a system that enables white supremacy [11] [12] [13] and violently crack down on & frame anyone who opposes its biased rules [14] [15] [16].
You’re probably wondering: “how bad can things be right now?” Here’s your answer: Nightmare-inducingly terrible! As of recently The Feuerkrieg (Firewar) Division a known and established paramilitary Neo-Nazi group was exposed by Unicorn Riot! [17]. An activist who goes under the pseudonym Eugene Antifa infiltrated the FKD by pretending to be an interested member and rose through the ranks gathering information, charges, terrorist plans, etc. planning by members. As of recently the leader of the Firewar Division was identified as a 13-year-old Estonian teenager [18]. If the idea of a 13-year-old running and operating a paramilitary neo-nazi group doesn’t scare you then…I don’t know what to tell you.
It’s monstrous to believe that the institutions that we are told [19] are trustable are the same institutions that actively lie [20] [21] [22] [23] to the public about what is going on with the world around them. I’m not telling you to give up! If people want to survive the rising-waters of neofascist-accelerationism [24] [25] then for the minority of us who intersect with numerous oppressed communities then its hope and fight or stay silent and let them murder you [26]. The bullshit “don’t vote anarchists” come from a privileged position of power that somehow doesn’t know a difference between electoralism and voting [27]. We vote in autonomous collectives & committees [28], in worker unions [29] [30], and in other known forms of radical organizing [31] to dismiss voting…when we vote every day of our lives from the decisions we make with partners, to the way we vote and decide how to tackle and move forward on certain issues…to straight up deny the idea that election results will affect our room to organize and dismantle the systems that oppress us [32] [33] [34] [35].
2: Poetry against a rising tide of oppression
Yet, they support the occupation of oppression
Despite it being challenged before its founding!
A vast similarity is within another part of my cultural composition…..
I may not know much about my Indian heritage but, it is ignorant and atrocious for me to willfully stay silent as it happens before my eyes!
Está pasando en La marea roja también!
En el pasado pasó también!
Y ellos continúen ahora!
I refuse to stay silent or turn a blind eye to oppression no matter how uncomfortable it feels to confront such bigotry!
Viva la interseccionalidad y liberación para todos:
¡oprimido por las injusticias de los poderosos influenciadores ignorantes y monstruosos en TODOS los hemisferios!
3: A Journal Entry for those who are still fighting to survive!
The entry of Revolts #1: Dearest comrades & community
I don’t know how to feel right now…..as of recently (this week) I heard Noam Chomsky talk on Democracy Now! regarding the aftermath of the Sanders campaign and that now a full-blown activist movement has formed out of love and rage at a system that has systematically made the end of humanity as the Doomsday Clock is now 100 seconds till termination [1] [2] [3] [4]. FUCK, I sometimes get terrified about my parents since my mom, dad, and step-dad are considered immunocompromised and at risk of getting COVID-19….I’m worried about the prisoners who are at this point in time living in death camps! [5] [6] [7] [8].
This midnight is cold and dark
It feels empty and lonesome
As wolves cry into the night begging for help
4:04 AM as I lie down and write
I know a disease inevitably passes
But, I hope this helps others realize that our activism hasn’t been drowned out by the screams of the damned
It has been amplified by them
We’re all fighting for survival
As celebrities roam in their mansions built by workers as they sing Imagine by John Lennon [9] as if it changes anything
Most of the comments are just them jerking each other off about how “inspirational” or “beautiful” they were [10]
The anger, love, sorrows, are all justified
Especially when we will be the people on the front lines that will be hit hardest before the desensitized influencers do
Help each other build unions, community solidarity, nurture autonomy, and educate one another however you can! Because the storm is already here and the only way to survive through this together…is to help one another and work together! [11]
4: Art as a form of revolutionary changes a poem…
Not all are great at writing
Not everyone fits a category
But, we are all good at something
That is a truth
Our potential together is unmatched
It is much stronger than the ruling class
“Amor es…que conecta a los vivos y a los Muertos.” [1]
If we want to live then we must fight together
Learning from our past mistakes to constantly change and educate each other
With love, rage, community, & mutual aid!
5: Against alt-right formations online
Since a very….uneventful day in 2017 involving PewDiePie and an anti-Semitic “joke” [1] he has become a prominent figure within the alt-right as he has not only been cited as inspirations for terrorist attacks [2] [2.1]. He has used racial slurs [3], his fans are well known for being assholes on the Internet [4], he once shouted out an “anime review” channel which expressed neo-nazi viewpoints [5], and hosted far-right pundit and well-known conspiracy theorist radio-host Ben Shapiro on PewDiePie’s series titled Meme review. (it’s very important to note that Ben Shapiro has a well-known status as a far-right pundit) [6] [7] [8] [9].
On April 15, 2017. Anti-fascists had to battle against 200-300 neo-fascists in Berkeley California as professor John Mink wrote in his essay (False Equivalencies and the Resurgent Far Right in a Messy, Violent World) for Teaching Resistance. This fight included students of Berkeley high school (which is made up of mainly Asian and Hispanic students) harassed and threatened by neo-fascists [11] [12] [13]. After these anti-fascists began to protect these vulnerable minorities in Berkeley Highschool Donald Trump himself tweeted, threatening to defund the school if Milo Yiannopolus (the original reason why this whole mess started) wasn’t allowed to continue [14] (it’s important to note that Milo had planned to doxx transgender and undocumented students in the school) [15] [16] [17] [18].
As of recently, since the COVID-19 pandemic started white supremacists have plotted to purposely spread misinformation and infect others [19] [20], attempted to grift money from mutual aid programs which are specifically designed to help vulnerable communities [21], and have attempted to recruit small children into white supremacy [22] [23] [24]. This requires aggressive action I’m telling teachers and students cannot and should not stay silent on issues that affect the real world, especially in a world where information is being spread faster than some of us can process! The fascist organization is speeding up and gaining traction across the right [25] [26] liberals only turn a blind-eye by going for a whole “civil discussion” (as if having a civil discussion about why Hispanics “corrupting” the white race by mixing cultures and skin tones) will somehow solve this issue between the far-right and far-left.
We need radical action against bigotry and call these things out no matter how uncomfortable it makes some people feel! Because for people like me and many others this is a matter of life or death!
6: Normalcy was fucked up, to begin with!
Liberals call for a return to normalcy
As if racism and white supremacy didn’t exist during the Obama Administration
Like whether he did mass deportations
The man wasn’t a saint
Yet liberals seem to forget that Obama was complacent and open-minded to Trump
Look at where we are now
Do you think that voting will be the only thing we can do?
Do you believe that we can create popular power from below and use voting alongside direct action and a diversity of tactics?
There’s a difference between electoralism and voting
The notion of not voting comes from a privileged position of power where people don’t have to worry about the devastating consequences of electoralism and don’t understand that we have a tiny say in what happens in our lives
Anarchists aren’t against voting because they vote on things whether they realize it or not (collectives, unions, federations, affinity groups, etc.) but, anarchists are against electoralism because it is a limited hierarchy that feeds the illusion that we are voting and directly making influences in the decisions that affect our lives
When in reality we don’t unless it’s outside the institutions of electoralism and it’s intersecting power structures!
Build non-hierarchical horizontal popular power from below!
