Riot Around: 72 Hours

June 3rd, 2020  |  Published in General

Poem by story

72 hours destroy the towers

to finally storm the bastille

The systems of power will attempt to manufacture consent

But, we can learn from our comrades

and our forgotten past

The police attack press without any thought

Even the church rages with us

We call to defund the cops

Abolish Prisons

People are demanding restorative justice & transformative justice

Communalism over rugged individualism

Is it truly better to keep a broken system because It’s the best we have” or should we….well rethink the systems that were built on genocide and were created centuries ago?

Build up each other with love and education….so that we can decolonize and build a better non-hierarchical world…

Because riots cannot survive without its backbone of non-violence

It is yin & yang in its moat raw and beautiful form…..
